Jana’s path to becoming a child psychologist began in forensic neuropsychology where she was a psychometrist during her undergraduate degree completing formal psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments under the supervision of a neuropsychologist.

Her passion for psychological assessment was nurtured through the School and Applied Child Psychology program at the University of Calgary, where her focus shifted to working with the pediatric population and their families. Since then, Jana has worked as a child psychologist within public, private, and non-profit sectors including the Calgary Board of Education, Foothills Academy, and Moroz Child Psychology, where she was the co-director and social skills facilitator for over 10 years. Specific interest surrounds the assessment of autism spectrum disorders, where Jana obtained specialized training through the Centre for Autism and the Developing Brain in New York. Currently, Jana is the Director of Westside Child Psychology, and takes on both assessment and treatment clients and their families with specialized focus on ADHD, ASD and social communication disorders, learning disabilities, anxiety, OCD, Depression, Giftedness, and parenting consultation.
