Vicki Pederson M.Ed., Registered Provisional Psychologist
Vicki is a child and school psychologist with over a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, parents, and school teams across British Columbia and Alberta. She specializes in comprehensive psycho-educational assessment, developmental and learning differences, and collaborative problem-solving with families, educators, and community agencies.
Vicki completed her Master of Education in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of Calgary and holds additional credentials in Inclusive and Special Education. She is a Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a Licensed School Psychologist through the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
Throughout her career, Vicki has served as a District School Psychologist in several school districts, where she conducted cognitive, academic, behavioural, and social-emotional assessments; developed individualized support plans; and consulted closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams. Her work has included determining special education eligibility, supporting early intervention frameworks, and providing guidance around learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and mental-health-related needs.
Prior to becoming a psychologist, Vicki worked for many years as a teacher, case manager, and learning assistance specialist. This classroom experience continues to shape her approach—practical, collaborative, and grounded in a deep understanding of real-world school environments.
Vicki is committed to helping children feel understood and supported, and to empowering caregivers and educators with clear, actionable recommendations. She strives to make the assessment process positive, respectful, and meaningful for every family she works with.
